Nonprofits
There's an article in the October 2010 J of Q and Participation that may be of interest to those engaged in the NP sector in one way or another. The article is a survey of innate motivation factors for consideration in managing people. This may be of interest to those employed in the NP sector, and those looking to recruit and/or engage volunteers. Read it at:

It's hard to think of a better proponent (and achiever) of the "delighter" in a quality context.

File Sharing
Scott, while I haven't used Huddle either, I have used the similar product Basecamp for a variety of professional and volunteer projects. I find that the most significant piece of the puzzle (not surprisingly) is the human factor. The extent to which a web-based collaboration/project management space is going to be useful is substantially a function of the extent to which other members of the team are willing to use it. I'm beginning to fell that the suite of Google products may have some general advantages here, chiefly the comfort-level of many people with the apps, and the frequency with which people use them for other purposes. Also, as a former cartographer, I really like the ability to integrate maps and other spatial products into the mix. That said, the Google Sites template for project websites is a bit of a lemon, in my opinion.

I think it takes too many mouse-clicks to get to ASQ's discussions pages. I get on about once a week, and it still seems a little convoluted to me.

I'm curious as to how the state quality awards are reacting to the situation with BNQP

I'm recruiting an analyst with a background in federal grants administration, management controls, and preferably energy or environmental projects/programs.
