Statistical Practice in Business and Industry
The goal of this discussion board is to provide a forum for discussion of the statistical needs of business and industry and how they affect the way we practice and promote statistics and train people for statistical work. Of particular concern is how ongoing change in these needs will impact industrial statistical practice in the years ahead. The forum should be of interest to engineers, R&D personnel, quality professional, managers, and, of course, statisticians. The discussion board was initiated by Technometrics Editor David Steinberg as a sequel to the panel discussion on "The Future of Industrial Statistics," which was published in the May 2008 issue of the journal.
